The history of Dunkin’ Donuts circles back more than 60 years when Bill Rosenberg founded the company in 1950 and opened the first store in Quincy, Massachusetts. Back then, Bill had a simple philosophy: “Make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in modern, well-merchandised stores.” That philosophy still holds true today and is the foundation that has enabled Dunkin’ Donuts to grow to be the largest coffee and baked goods chain in the world. Dunkin’ Donuts offers more than a dozen coffee beverages, donuts, bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and other baked goods. Currently, Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 7,200 shops in 34 countries worldwide.

You can tell a lot about a company by being a customer in our stores. The same belief Bill Rosenberg had 60 years ago is extremely important to us. You can see it in the faces of our people, taste it in our products and feel it in the special places we create. Our culture is the essence of who we are. We rely on the dedication of each and every person who works here. You are important because you are going to bring our culture to life.

There are over 15,000 different ways to order your coffee at Dunkin’. Choices, Choices, Choices..

Now you are going to review Chicagoland Commissary’s own welcome video. Please enjoy!!!

Your training will be done both on the internet using our Dunkin’ U (E-Learning) in the store during your training as well on the floor with  to take what you’ve learned and apply it to real life.

Today you will complete 19 courses which are all about Food Safety and Guest Service. We ask you while taking your courses throughout your training to please not rush as everything you watch and learn will be applied to your on-hands training with your trainer everyday.

This picture shows you the courses you will take that are also found on the Training Grid that was on the main page.

Please do NOT take any other courses then the ones located on the Training Grid for Orientation Day. If you choose to take other courses you will not receive credit for them and will not be paid for them.

At Dunkin’ we do NOT ask our guests if they have a receipt when returning because of an issue we could have prevented  (wrong product, missing product, etc.) we BELIEVE them and correct the mistake for them… Its OUR job to win the guest for life!!

Next please watch this video that talks about just some of CLC policies and standards. Please note not one policy or standard is more important than another, we just wanted to share a few with the rest being available in our handbook..

In addition to learning all about Dunkin’ and your store today we need to get you certified in food safety so we stay in compliance with the laws of the state.

This certification is found on-line and takes approximately 1 hour and costs 7.99. Once you complete the course you will receive a certification of completion your general manager will keep on file for the duration of your employment.

Once you receive that certification your general manager will have you fill out a payroll reimbursement form that will be sent to our payroll department and  $7.99 will be put back on your 1st paycheck. The certification is not transferable and is property of Chicagoland Commissary.
